Mary Rose Takeover Events:
The Hampshire Scouts Activities and Programmes Team have managed to secure interactive, memorable and engaging experience as part of Takeover Day’s at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.
The Mary Rose Museum is location in the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth and is dedicated to the 16th century Tudor Navy warship Mary Rose, as well as the historical context in which she was active, displaying over 19,000 artefacts from the ship – the largest collection in the world, as well as the ship itself in a dedicated ship hall.
The Cubs will be invited to take part in Tudor gun drills and battle planning, as well as the 4D cinema experience – a never-before-seen cinematic experience that takes you on a journey from the tragic sinking of the Mary Rose over 400 years ago to its incredible recovery in modern times.

IMPALA Navigation Event – Saturday 26th September
Based on the Scouts Kudu, the Impala is a scaled down version for Cubs. Each team will progress through the course, being timed from start to finish, visiting bases along the way to complete different tasks, challenges and games, with points awarded for each base visited, each base completed, and fastest time to complete the course, so speed isn’t everything.
