Upcoming Awards and Recognition Dates
Welcome to the ‘Awards and Recognition’ page of this website where I have given some headers for you regarding the process for nominating adult members and young people for range of Awards.
Good Service Awards (GSA) are extremely important and are typically used for members who have consistently given service over and above that what is expected within their role.
GSA are not given for purely ‘length of service’ (LOS) which is celebrated by the LOS badge presented every 5 years, although LOS does form one of the criteria to decide which GSA is appropriate.
We also have Gallantry and Meritorious Conduct Awards, including the Cornwell Scout Badge to celebrate young people and adults who show courage in adversity and quick thinking in the face of danger.
