True Colours Camp on the Isle of Wight

Hampshire Explorers have been invited to attend the Isle of Wight True Colours Camp as a Hampshire Contingent.

🌟 About the Event
True Colours is a celebration for young people aged 10–18, offering a safe and supportive space to express who they are, explore their identity, and embrace themselves and others.
The previous event in 2022 welcomed around 100 young people and several external organisations.
🏕️ Programme Overview
Friday 18 September – Arrival
Explorers and Rangers from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight arrive, set up camp, and spend the evening getting to know others from across both counties.
Saturday 19 September – Main Event Day
Scouts and Guides join for a full day of activities, special guests, and live entertainment.
Morning:
- Group activities with visiting contributors and performers.
Afternoon:
Explore the site and take part in activities across themed zones, including:
- Faith, Belief & Reflection
- Mental Wellbeing
- Physical Wellbeing
- Performance & Creative Arts
- Sensory Zone
- Marketplace of Support Organisations (Fire Service, Police, Ability Dogs for Young People, Breakout Youth, St John Ambulance, IOW Youth Trust and more)
Evening:
- Food Bank cooking challenge followed by a campfire sing‑along.
Saturday Night – Explorer‑Only Activities
- Midnight Manhunt
- Stargazing
- Movies
- Additional late‑night activities throughout the night.
