Outdoor First Aid (SCQF Level 6)
We have an exciting opportunity coming up for anyone who works, volunteers, or spends time in rural or remote outdoor environments. We are running a fully regulated Outdoor First Aid (SCQF Level 6) qualification, designed for situations where help may be more than 30 minutes away.
This two‑day course is ideal for outdoor leaders, instructors, DofE supervisors, Scout volunteers, and anyone who wants to feel confident managing incidents in challenging terrain. Training is highly practical and includes managing collapse, choking, bleeding, shock, major illnesses, limb and torso injuries, environmental effects, prolonged casualty care, and outdoor incident management. You’ll also cover outdoor‑specific decisions such as when to remove boots or helmets and how to look after a casualty for several hours.
