The next round of the Hampshire Scouts Coronavirus Response Programme is now open for grant applications!

We’ve designed our grant programme to be responsive to the needs of your Groups and Units and so we’re encouraging all groups to apply if they feel that they need support.

We’re ready to fund rent, safety costs, costs associated with building youth membership numbers back up, and a range of other costs that Groups and Units have incurred.

While we have some ideas about what we think may need funding, we’re open to funding need wherever it lies.

Financial support for community organisations struggling as a result of Covid-19 is available – that includes Scout Groups across Hampshire too!

The National Lottery Community Fund and Movement for Good are two, among many,organisations now offering support to those organisations in need.

Census and Membership Subscriptions

The 2019 membership fees have been confirmed by the County Executive.

These are: Scout Headquarters -£28.00 per member an increase of £1 on 2017 (£27.50 for on-time payment)

Hampshire County Scouts – £12.90 per member under 18 member (£11.20 in 2018)
Total – £40.90 less 50p for on time payment (by 15th April)
So, HQ and County £40.40 per young person
NOTE; Fees ONLY apply to members up to and including Explorer Scout age.

Timings for Census 2019 and payment of Membership Fees.

Census administrators are strongly encouraged to complete the Census directly on the system rather than using a paper process.
Census Date: 31st January.
Latest date for Completion of District Census for County Administration: Mon 25th February.

Therefore, Districts will set a date before this for groups to complete their census input.
County invoices to Districts: Monday 18th March. (all districts will be able to determine their total subscription in advance of receiving the invoice)
Latest date for payment to County: 9am Monday 15th April.

Timings for Census 2018 and payment of Membership Fees.

You will be able to access the guidance notes, parents’ letter and the ethnicity & additional needs form on the Census system (scouts.org.uk/census) from week beginning 18 December.

Passwords and login details have been sent by Scout HQ - as of 5th Jan.

Please look in your Spam / Clutter folders first - but then enquire at the Scout Information Centre.
