DESCRIPTION:Information pack\nWhat is the Event?\nThis is an Adventure and Pirate themed camp for Squirrel to Scout Sections. This event will be Queue and Do style with zones sorted by age and type of activity. Groups will camp together in district areas\, and take part in day time and evening activities with their sections. It will be a great opportunity for young people to work with others and take part in fun activities. \nKey Info\nDates: 9th – 11th July 2027\nLocation: YMCA Fairthorne Manor\, Botley\, Southampton\nSections: Squirrel\, Beaver\, Cub\, Scout\nCost: \n\nWeekend ticket (Friday night to Sunday afternoon) – £65\nOne Night ticket (Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon) – £60 (Available to Squirrels and Beavers only)\nDay ticket (Saturday only) – £40 (Available to Squirrels and Beavers only)\nVolunteers\, Young Leaders and adult leaders – Free\n\nWhat is included?\nAll activities day and night\, campsite and overnight fees. We will additionally include a badge and a wristband. \nDates and Deadlines\nSign up opens: 20th September\nDeposits Due: 30 Days After Sign up\, £20 Per Participant\nSign Up Closes: 20th April\nFinal Numbers: 20th April\nFinal Payments: 1st June\nOnline Consent Forms Completed: 1st July\nNote Deposits are not refundable from payment and no refunds will be made after the 20th April. \nSign Up\nSign up will be done through our purpose built app. Leaders can make their account here: https://ahoyhampshire.org/register \nCamping\nThere will be 2 main camping areas onsite. The first is Campsite Jack Sparrow\, which is located near the site’s main entrance\, in what YMCA calls “Family Park” – 70% of groups will camp here\, and there will be a dedicated info base to ask questions and seek help on the camping field. \nThe other will be Campsite Hook\, on YMCA’s main field\, camping will be located by the Sportshall\, Eco\, Copse and Campfire campsite. This area will also contain the main activity areas as well as “The Bridge”\, the main operations hub that will be available for questions and information throughout the event. Groups will camp in district areas and we strongly encourage groups to work together. \nProgramme\nThere will be a nonstop programme throughout the event\, with activities running all day on Saturday and on Sunday morning. Activities will be split into four main day-time zones that will be timetabled. \nSections will be split into sub-groups and move between the timetabled zones throughout the event. Once at their timetabled zone\, all activities will follow a queue-and-do system. \nActivities may include: \n\nArchery\nTomahawks\nInflatables\nClimbing and High Ropes\nCreative zones\nAnd many more!\n\nIn addition to the day-time programme\, there will also be evening activities available on Friday and Saturday evening. \nExplorers and Network\, Want to Volunteer?\nThis is a great event to get involved with! SUMMARY:Hog Fest
DESCRIPTION:Visit the event website for full details and booking details.\nEvent Details \n\n\nThe event will take place on Friday 16th July – Sunday 18th July 2027 and shall run between 4:00pm on the Friday – 2:00pm on the Sunday.  \n​The cost will be £30 (£25 early bird ticket booked before 31st December 2026) for a weekend ticket and £20.50 (£18 early bird ticket booked before 31st December 2026) for a Saturday only ticket.  This event is only open to Adult (18+) Leaders\, Trustees\, Network Members and all adults with a Scout Membership Number within Hampshire Scouts. \n​Each person booked onto the event will receive a special Hog Fest 2027 badge.  \n​​​Programme – exact details to be confirmed​\n​Throughout the weekend we shall have a range of our onsite activities running including Climbing\, Quick Jump\, Leap of Faith\, 3 Stack\, Zip Wire\, Archery\, Crossbows\, Tomahawk Throwing\, Rifle Shooting to Crazy Golf\, Low Ropes\, Frisbee Golf and  Abseiling to name but a few.  ​ \n​There shall be a variety of workshops available during the day which attendees can book onto. We are just awaiting to hear back from teams before confirming what these shall be. \n​There shall also be a selection of stalls within the marquees which will include a variety of teams within Hampshire Scouts\, External organisations that may be able to provide you with valuable information to take forward and use with your teams. \n​There shall then be evening activities taking place during the camp\, such as a Quiz\, Silent Disco\, Bingo\, Arcade and Chill out zones. \n​Friday – attendees can start to arrive to site from 4:00pm to start setting up their camp. Check in will be open until 9pm. We shall have some food vendors onsite during the evening and will have an evening activity taking place in the main marquees to start the weekend off.    \n​Saturday – There shall be an opening ceremony to start the day around 9am. Daytime activities will run between the following times:  \n\n​Session One – 9:30am – 12:30pm\nLunch Break – 12:30pm – 1:30pm\nSession Two – 1:30pm – 4:30pm\n\nThere will then be a dinner break and free time until 8:00pm. Evening activities will then start at 8:00pm until midnight.  \n​Sunday – Daytime activities will start again at 9:00am and finish at 1:00pm. There shall then be a closing ceremony between 1:45 – 2:00pm\, with departure from camp between 2:00 – 4:00pm. ​ \nFood and Refreshments​\nThere shall be no centralised catering that can be pre-booked prior to the event. Attendees shall need to either self-cater during the camp and bring along their own cooking equipment\, or there shall be a variety of food vendors available on site which can be purchased from directly (this is outside of the ticket cost). \nAny food deliveries can take place from 4:00pm on the Friday. Please ensure that a member of your group is onsite to meet the drivers and that leader names and contact details are included on the booking details for these. \n​Camping\nTwo nights camping is included within the weekend ticket price. There shall be limited indoor accommodation available but only for attendees that have specific medical requirements. This is on a first come first served basis and can be requested within the personal details form that you shall be sent once a booking has been made. If a booking is made for more than one attendee\, each attendee will be required to complete the form.
